Movie Poster Ad for Hefty,

This was an exciting and creatively rewarding project that coincided with a commercial campaign. The concept was to mimic the dramatic aesthetic of an action movie poster—complete with dynamic poses, atmospheric effects, and a sense of high-impact energy.

For the shoot, we constructed a large wall made up of 52 cardboard boxes, which served as the main practical effect for the action sequence. The idea was to have John, the subject of the poster, appear as if he were dramatically bursting through the wall. Each of John's poses was photographed individually to ensure optimal lighting and positioning. These images were later meticulously layered together in Photoshop to create the illusion of continuous movement and impact.



To enhance the cinematic feel, I designed and composited dust clouds billowing from the boxes, as well as a stormy sky background to add mood and intensity. One of the key challenges was ensuring that the text overlay remained readable without compromising the visual drama of the scene. I carefully balanced the contrast and placement of each design element to achieve that.

Additionally, I applied glowing edge highlights to the t-shirts in each pose. This subtle effect helped separate the figures from one another and from the background, adding both depth and visual clarity to the composition.

Overall, the final image successfully captured the bold, over-the-top energy we were aiming for, and it became a memorable piece for the campaign.
